From Kiên, to the team
There is something I want to invite all four of you into
The last day of the AI Challenge also closes a chapter. But what the four of us built this season should not stop at a scoreboard. I am planning to submit a research paper - and I want it to carry all four of your names.
Four people, four angles: classic vision, city logistics, serving infrastructure, and multimodality. This paper needs all four. The decode you just finished was the draft of this invitation - and the team opened it word by word, by yourselves.
The destination: RIVF 2026, special session SS1
I am inviting all four of you in - as co-authors of the submission and, if the reviewers nod, together in Hanoi this December at the conference itself. Here is the session:
See the RIVF 2026 special session SS1 page
Why I am proposing this special session
Because it is the truest home for what the team actually built: a multimodal, human-in-the-loop system for Vietnamese urban video, self-hosted on open weights, hardened through a real competition season. We are not visiting “AI for Smart Cities”. Traffic cameras, ports, warehouses, delivery fleets - that is exactly where this system was built to live.
Nothing is accepted yet, of course - the paper still has to get past the reviewers. But the work is real, and it deserves the shot.
If you are in, the work is short
- Create an account on EDAS (the conference paper system). Choose "Create a new account" if you do not have one.
- Use your real email - the name and email on EDAS must match the name printed on the paper.
- Send me your registered email at [email protected] - I will handle the rest.
The honest price tag
If the reviewers nod - acceptance notices are due October 30, 2026 - here is what being there costs, straight from the official registration page (all fees in USD, as listed by the conference):
- $200 regular / $150 student - early bird, until November 15, 2026. Either tier covers one paper.
- Late registration after that is $250 / $200 - and covers zero papers, so keep the early-bird window sacred.
- At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present - that is what puts the paper into the proceedings and IEEE Xplore.
- If you want the conference dinner with us: banquet coupon $50.
- The conference runs December 18-20, 2026 at VinUniversity, Hanoi. Flights and hotels are on top - December is high season, book early.
Noted. See the team in Hanoi, this December.
